Fallen Breath

A strange, supernatural curse sweeping through Santa Juliana pushes
Julia Cook, eccentric sailor and monster hunter, and Crispin
O’Callner, a strictly law-abiding private eye, into the same cause:
hunting down and stopping the source of this evil. Their task is
complicated by the dogged involvement of a wharf-worker trying to save
his cat, a police officer trying to keep an eye on Crispin, and the
increasingly volatile fear of superpowers boiling under the city’s
surface.
